Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI) is excited to announce that the second annual Virtual Summer Games, running now through July 16!

As we continue our path to return to activities, the Virtual Summer Games presented by SpartanNash will offer competition to thousands of athletes across the state from the comfort of their own home or surrounding area.

The 2021 Virtual Summer Games is currently underway now and runs through Friday, July 16 with an online celebration on Tuesday, July 20.

The Virtual Summer Games is open to all athletes and Unified partners 8 years of age and older across the state.

Participants will take part in a multi-week, at-home health and wellness training program beginning June 1 through July 16, culminating in an online celebration Tuesday, July 20. Athletes will choose from a list of nearly 20 sporting events they can do from the safety of home including athletics, gymnastics, and weightlifting. Participants can then submit their scores online to see how they stack up against others from around the state.
