Celebrate summer with a drive-in movie

“Encanto” comes to Krapohl Ford & Lincoln to benefit Special Olympics athletes

In its ongoing quest to support the community, Krapohl Ford & Lincoln will set up a 30-foot drive-in movie screen on their lot and entertain area families on Saturday, June 25, with Disney’s latest animated feature, “Encanto.”

All proceeds from the donation-based event ($20 per vehicle suggested) will go to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Michigan.

More than 100 parking spots will be available. Advance reservations are highly recommended to reserve a spot. For details, visit the Facebook page of Krapohl Ford & Lincoln or Special Olympics Michigan Area 7.

"It's philanthropic partnerships that empower our athletes, allowing them to continue to compete on the playing fields at no cost to them," said Tim Hileman, President and CEO of Special Olympics Michigan. "Beyond that, this is an opportunity to spread awareness of our movement and the powerful message of inclusion. There is no greater gift."

Krapohl, Keller Williams Signature Group Northern Michigan and MLT Transport, LLC, are sponsoring the movie.

In addition to entry donations, tickets for a 50/50 raffle will be sold that evening before the movie.

Community involvement is a core value at Krapohl, the area’s only remaining locally owned and operated full-service dealership. Its 72 years of supporting local organizations include employee volunteers and board members, in-kind contributions, space for student-run car washes, and financial donations.

“Krapohl Ford & Lincoln and Special Olympics Michigan have both been part of our community for decades and we’re proud to continue our support of local athletes,” Krapohl General Manager Mark Smith said.
