Americorps

Join SOMI AmeriCorps to impact the health of your community and create real change! SOMI AmeriCorps is a health-focused AmeriCorps program with multiple service sites throughout the state of Michigan. Members lead various health initiatives to address health disparities for people with intellectual disabilities and the community. Some member duties include leading health and fitness programming, planning family engagement health events, planning and leading developmental sports practices, expanding the reach of the SOMI Unified Champion Schools initiatives, working with local school systems to provide support and programming, engaging volunteers, spreading awareness of key mental health information, and participating in team meetings and service projects.

Unified Sports & Inclusion Center : Facility Support Staff

As a facility support team member at the Unified Sports and Inclusion Center, you will play an integral part in assisting the facility meet its goals of serving as an innovative and inclusive training, competition, educational and leadership resource for Special Olympics Michigan and the community. 

This position(s) is intended to be filled by Special Olympics Michigan athletes, who will workalong aside a dedicated group of SOMI colleagues.
