Leave Your Legacy
Planned or legacy giving is an increasingly popular way for individuals of all financial circumstances to make charitable gifts. Planned giving enables a donor to arrange charitable contributions in ways that maximize his or her personal objectives.
Increase Contribution by Matching Gifts
You can double or triple your tax-deductible support of Special Olympics athletes through your company's matching gift program. Thousands of companies match charitable contributions made by their employees. The matching gift process is easy, but the impact to the athletes is significant. Contact your human resources department today and ask about matching gifts.
Becoming a Special Olympics monthly donor is easy, efficient, flexible and rewarding. Monthly donations help Special Olympics improve the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities in your community and around the world.
Charitable IRA Rollover
Donators 70 ½ and older are eligible for an enhanced tax benefit on donations made directly from their IRA. A Qualified Charitable Distribution permits taxpayers to make donations directly to charitable organizations from their IRA's without paying taxes on them, while also counting the donation toward annual IRA distribution requirements.
Special Olympics Michigan is a non-profit organization supported mostly by private funding, without the support of state funds. All Special Olympics Michigan programs and activities are available at no cost to Michigan athletes or their families. The generosity of Michigan organizations, individuals and statewide businesses enable the program to continue.
