Upper Peninsula Golf & Bocce Regional Tournament
By Barb Siira (Director for Area 39)
The torch of the 2009 Special Olympics Michigan Inc. (SOMI) Upper Peninsula Golf and Bocce Tournament held in memory of Joe Cvengros, is extinguished for another year.

However, the flame still burns bright in the hearts and memories of 226 athletes and coaches who proudly display the ribbons and metals they won at the 14th annual tournament at Boulder Creek Golf Course.

The athletes participated in nine-hole golf, individual skills of golf, unified golf, bocce regular singles, doubles, unified and modified Bocce singles and doubles. MORE
