Don't miss your opportunity to get a head start on your holiday shopping while supporting Special Olympics Michigan athletes! If you're in the Traverse City area on Saturday, Nov. 10, make your way downtown for the annual one day promotion where local businesses give back to the community.

For every purchase made, 15% of your total will be donated to the organization of your choice. Be sure to mention you want your donation to go towards Special Olympics Michigan! Funds raised will go to support the athletes of Area 2 (Leelanau, Antrim, Grand Traverse, Benzie, Kalkaska Counties).

Keep your eye out for the balloons and shopping bags to show which stores are involved in the fundraiser. This is the seventh year downtown businesses will be hosting the event. Shop Your Community Day promotes local businesses in the Traverse City area, supports non-profits and helps you cross some items off your holiday shopping list.
