555 athletes, coaches and chaperones will gather on Sat. March 5, 2011 for the 2011 District Basketball Tournament at Caledonia Kraft & Duncan Lake Middle Schools in Caledonia, Mich.
The competition will feature senior male teams, which include athletes about 16 and older.

Teams will include athletes from eight areas and from the following counties, (Area 5) Osceola, Mecosta, (Area 11) Kent, Barry, (Area 12) Ottawa, Allegan, (Area 17) Van Buren, Berrien, Cass, (Area 18) St. Joseph, Branch, (Area 21) Oceana, Newaygo, Muskegon, (Area 24) Manistee, Mason, Lake, and (Area 32) Wexford and Missaukee.

    Court 5-6 at Kraft Meadows Middle School (Divisions 9-12)

• 11-1 Lunch served to registered athletes, coaches and volunteers only.

Awards to be presented immediately after competition.

Games will consist of four six minute quarter. First place teams will receive a trophy and second through fourth place teams will receive ribbons immediately after the tournament. Special Events including arts and crafts and other interactive activities will be offered throughout the day.

District Basketball Tournaments will take place in six communities including St. Johns, Bay City, Northville, Saline, Caledonia and Escanaba. The State Basketball Finals will be held March 25-26 at Rockford High School in Rockford. Approximately 800 athletes, coaches and chaperones will be in attendance.
