This premier annual event is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Michigan, in partnership with Central Michigan University (CMU) for over 35 years. Participants are encouraged to raise funds to support the more than 20,600 athletes with intellectual disabilities in the State of Michigan. The 2011 Homecoming Miles for Medals events are scheduled for Saturday, October 15, 2011.

• Entry Fee $15 before September 30,2011
• Fee increases to $25 after September 30, 2011
• Early Registration closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011
• Race Day Registration 7 - 8 a.m. (payment by check or cash only)

Schedule and event details

• All events start and finish in front of Finch Fieldhouse
• 1 Mile Run/Walk starts at 8 a.m.
• 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:05 a.m.
• Early registration ends on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 5 p.m. 
• Packet pickup on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 9am to 6pm at Special Olympics Michigan
• Race day registration begins at 7 a.m.
• Parking is available in Lots 16 and 27 (see campus map)

• Medals will be awarded to all participants
• Top overall individual finishes, male and female
• Top overall individual masters finishers, male and female
• NEW - prizes to the Best Dressed/Most Spirited participant
