Senator Rick Jones is serving his first term on the board. He was elected to the Michigan Senate in November, 2010 and represents the residents of the 24th District (Allegan, Barry, and Eaton counties). Jones served as a Representative from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, Jones worked in law enforcement as former Sheriff of Eaton County. Jones has been active with Area 8's program. Jones is the parent of an athlete and served as a chaperone for Area 8. He is also a Polar Plunge participant. Jones is serving on the Development Committee. He lives in Grand Ledge with his wife, Charlene. They have two children, Kate and Charlie, and three grandchildren.
