Connie is serving her second term as the athlete representative on the board. She works at McDonalds as a crew trainer and attends Kirtland Community College. She has been involved in Special Olympics for 17 years and has been an assistant coach for basketball for one year. She participates in softball, cycling, basketball and swimming. She represented the US in 1999 as an athlete in the World Summer Games, and is a global messenger for SOMI. Connie has traveled to Washington D.C. for Capital Hill Day to help Special Olympics Michigan raise funds and awareness for our Healthy Athletes initiatives. Connie has served on on the development and program committees. She lives at home in Rose City with her mother, Mary Florian and brother, John Florian. She and her family are members of the Saint Rose Guild CCW Holy Family Parish.
